Message ~ Home Inspection

Wow....I just checked my emails to find that I received a message titled.... "Home Inspection...etc" Now this one spoke loud and clear to me. As a realtor, I receive tons of mail regarding solicitations from other vendors in regards to homes, the home buying process, transactional needs and much, much more.... For some reason, this on today really hit home. As a Christian, I realize that only what I do for Christ will last. I also realize that some things that I try to do, there is no strength as I try to do it all on my own. Well...I am committed to doing my work by the strength of the Lord. Who can match up to that? Definitely not I! Now, you may be trying to figure out...How does this all tie together???? Here Goes..... When was the last time that you had a "HOME INSPECTION"? I mean, when was the last time you looked to the Lord and said...it is time to get down and dirty. I mean Lord, I am asking you to purge me of me so that I can move and operate according to your will for my life and my endeavors. Sometimes, we get so caught up that we miss the mark because we allow self to hinder HIS desire for our lives. Today, I look at the subtle word that popped through on my email and ask Him to come in and do a home inspection. It is time to clean some things up; it is time to look into the crevices to see what is going on. What are my thoughts? Where is all this heading? Is there any blockages? Relationship in this hour, minute, second is key!!! Let's get our homes inspected so that we can be free of anything that would try to hinder our growth!!! I DID NOT HAVE TO LOSE MY HOME!!!

Wow is all that I can say! Banks have a lot of power and have been practicing some procedural methods that are not appearing to be beneficial to the homeowners. Crazy things, wild things and we as Realtors may not have been providing YOU with the necessary information needed to assist in this current Real Estate Market. I recently heard from someone who had owned her home for 20 years. This home was used to assist the community as a facility to help those who are in a recovered state from drug and alcohol usage. It was a wonderful safehaven for many individuals. No issues, no complaints, no worries. They always paid the mortgage timely and were outstanding mortgagees. What time is it??? Time for the astronomically huge balloon payment maturity. URGH!!! We all know that the home have declined tremendously. What did they do???? They reached out to the bank to see if they could work out some numbers as not to release a great amount of funding in a single load. These funds could have been used to fund different projects, mitigate issues and more. Needless to say, the bank was not having it! No modification on the amount, no refinance to stretch out the payment, no NOTHING! Why didn't I speak with them earlier....OH NO!!! Did I not share enough information, did I not reach out in time.....????? This one hurts me a little guys. I wish I could have shared with them a little more about my services before they made the final decisions. AFTER 20 YEARS, THEY TURNED OVER THE KEYS!!!! Well, here is a learning experience for me...I will do more to help prepare people with these sort of issues going forward. There are ways!! You don't have to lose!!! REALTORS.... IT'S TIME TO SPEAK LOUD! Remember, Nothing is hard in Real Estate when done "D.Easley" Way!

What a wonderful Tuesday...It seems that every day that I remove myself from the equation, things get better and better. What I have realized is that what ever the Lord has for me, it's already there. All I have to do is trust. I have come to learn that when I don't have confidence in myself, I am at my best. WHY would I say that??? Well because I know that with Him, I can do all things. I also know that all things are possible to them that believe! Well, I write this blog to let you know that first and foremost, I believe! What are you trusting God for? Could it be a new home? Could it be that you are requesting order? Could it be that your credit score shoots through the roof? Well, guess what??? If you move out of the way, God will make a way! I just wanted to share this little tid bit as I believe that it will encourage someone, just as it has encouraged me! Remember.....ALL THINGS!!!! Conceive, Believe, Achieve!!! How About Them Apples!!!!

Have you ever entered the grocery store or produce spot to see a large display of those shiny, red/green, and delicious apples? I mean the ones that have been waxed, and are just sitting there like eat me, eat me, eat me!!!! Well, as many of us may know, we bite through the shine, get that juicy ripe inside only to find that them darn seeds are hidden in the very core of the thing!!!  URGH...I mean it was good right up until that part! Nevertheless, we will munch at the core until we can't go any further. Well, think of things this way. There is going to be some good, some bad, some sweet and some bitter. BUT...the real take away is.... IT WAS ALL GOOD FOR US!

We all have to know when to bite, when to chew and when to spit! (pa-ting)

Did you know that most of the information that we receive off the cuff is false, not totally 100% or misconstrued due to the hand me down syndrome?

Well, in Real Estate, I have found that the bulk of the statement above is true! Why would I say that??? Well because I have an insatiable appetite for TRUTH, let alone apples. This is for all areas of my life. YES, It also includes my career choices....
